Consider the difference you can make for someone who can no longer afford the basic necessities of life. Collin County Committee on Aging is looking for people who can donate volunteer time or material assistance in the form of contributions and donations. There are a number of different types of programs that you can participate in. A small investment on your part can make a world of difference in someone else's life.

Volunteers are the backbone of our program.

We could not deliver over 1000 meals throughout Collin County without them. Volunteers not only bring a hot, nutritious lunch but also provide important human contact to otherwise isolated seniors.  Whether you have a lot of time or just a little, we can use you.  Volunteers come from all walks of life - men, women, young and old, professionals, homemakers with children and retirees - anyone who has a genuine interest in helping the elderly.

Volunteers Needed for Meals on Wheels and/or Special Assignments

A minimum of 75 volunteers are needed Monday through Friday between the hours of 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.  Volunteers deliver meals to homebound seniors in cities through-out Collin County.  Volunteers are people like you serving communities like yours.  Just sparing as few as two hours a month can make our Meals on Wheels program a success.

Volunteers are also needed in the McKinney office for special assignments including clerical work.  There are opportunitities to work in our store, Silver Threads as well as one-time volunteer opportunities available around the holidays.
